Great Job, Rossmoor!

STEP IT Up Fundraiser was a Success

Our Rossmoor PTA is so happy to share that our STEP IT Up! Fundraiser was a success!  We want to thank all our families for participating.  Together we earned $44,196.00!

This fundraiser is such an important one as our PTA funds educational programs such as AR, RAZ Kids, Reflex Math, and Meet the Masters, to name a few.  They also provide school assemblies, support our Castle Rossmoor Program, and provide field trips and our wonderful Camp Out Event as well!  The list is endless.

Thank you so much to our families and our community for their invaluable support.  All of our Knights will participate in the Day of Awesomeness that is scheduled for Monday, November 7th!

Red Ribbon Week

Please note that Tuesday is Picture Make-Up Day, if your child plans on taking a picture they can always change into their favorite Sports Shirt/Jersey after.

Rossmoor’s Fall Parade

October 31st 8:00am

All students are invited to participate in the Fall Parade by dressing up in costumes or wearing fall festive colors. If you would like to wear a costume, come to school in costume and have students wear their clothes underneath. All costumes MUST be removed after the parade. This day is for all to enjoy! Students who choose not to wear a costume are invited to dress as a favorite book character or in fall colors and participate in our parade. In addition to the morning fun, October 31st is a regular instructional day with purposeful learning in the classroom.

The following guidelines are expected for costume dress up:

  • Absolutely NO masks, this is for the safety of the children as they maneuver through campus.
  • Students' costumes must conform to our conservative general dress code.
  • No weapons may accompany the costume.
  • No make-up is to be worn, save this for the evening.
  • No hair dying.
  • No derogatory costumes or reference to violence.
  • No costumes with blood.
  • Keep it simple and school-age appropriate.

Please follow the guidelines above and share your costume idea with your teacher before wearing the item to school. If your costume does not meet the criteria above, dress in fall colors for the day.  All costumes are removed after the parade.  Please see above flyer for more information.

Last week in STEM:

A HUGE thank you to all our Rossmoor Knights for your paper towel and toilet paper tube donations!  Congratulations to Gawain House for winning our House Challenge.  Without everyone's support, we would not be able to make our amazing projects in STEM Lab.

This week in STEM Lab our 3rd and 4th grade Knights have been learning how various weather patterns can affect various areas and communities. We are hard at work designing hurricane and flood proof structures.

Ray is Dad to Rossmoor Knights Mason (1st grade) and Madison (Kindergarten).

Ray serves on our PTA Executive Board as Parliamentarian. Ray and his family just joined the Rossmoor Elementary family this year and he did not hesitate jumping in and fulfilling this huge role in PTA. The Parliamentarian responsibilities include assisting our PTA President in managing meetings and advising on parliamentary procedure, chairing the bylaw committee,  and coordinating the nominating committee to elect the 2023-24 PTA Executive Board.

In addition to fulfilling this PTA role, Ray also jumps in to help whenever needed and volunteers in the classrooms. When Ray is not at Rossmoor Elementary he can be found working out, watching sports, or on just about any of the nearby sports fields coaching his active kids.

Ray, we are thankful for your leadership and dedication to our Knights and Rossmoor PTA! We are so grateful to have you and your family as part of the Rossmoor Community! Thank you for all that you do.
